What is this course about?
Thinking about working with young children? This welcoming and practical introduction will give you a real insight into life in an early years setting such as a nursery or pre-school.
Over five weeks, you’ll explore how babies and young children learn, grow and develop, and discover what it’s really like to support them day-to-day. You’ll also gain a clear understanding of the important roles and responsibilities involved in childcare – whether you’re considering volunteering or employment.
As part of the course, you’ll build your confidence and take your first steps towards a career in early years. You’ll learn how to search for opportunities, complete application forms successfully, and present yourself positively to employers.
Any previous experience/qualifications you need to do the course
A good level of conversational and written English is required
What you need to bring with you
You must have a tablet or laptop with a working camera that can access Google Classroom
Please note that this is a live interactive online course for adults, learners will be expected to have their camera on and participate fully at all times.
